Climate mobility is reshaping homes, livelihoods, and cultural identities worldwide, as communities face growing pressure to adapt, move temporarily, or relocate.
The Climate Mobility Adaptation Agenda (CMAA) will translate the Global Principles for Addressing Climate Mobility into a practical roadmap for action, identifying priorities, partnerships and concrete proposals while helping inform wider multilateral processes.
Building the Agenda Together
From June 2026 to June 2027, the CMAA will be developed through an inclusive consultation process involving governments, affected communities, young people, local authorities, researchers, international organizations, civil society, and other partners.
Key milestones include the Climate Mobility Summit in September 2026, the Climate Mobility Pavilion at COP31, and the Berlin Climate Mobility Forum in June 2027, where the final Agenda is expected to be presented.
The process aims to build the coalitions and partnerships needed to move from global principles to locally rooted action.
