Climate Mobility Pavilion - COP30
The Climate Mobility Pavilion (CMP), organized by the Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM), is a dedicated space in the Blue Zone at COP30 in Belém where global leaders, policymakers, experts, and affected communities will discuss evidence, policies, and actions needed to enable positive adaptation journeys for people and communities at the frontline of the climate crisis. The CMP will center its programme on advancing engagements and partnerships for people-centered climate action and enabling community transition amidst climate change.
Context
Forced displacement is emerging as the human face of the climate crisis. Extreme weather events and slow onset changes such as water scarcity, decreased crop yields, and rising sea-level are driving millions of people from their homes. Against this backdrop, the CMP at COP27 in Sharm El Sheikh, COP28 in Dubai and COP29 in Baku played a central role in mobilizing like-minded champions to elevate climate mobility in the international agenda, particularly on advancing adaptation efforts and addressing loss & damage.
Join Us
The CMP is excited to announce its official programme for COP30, taking place from 10–21. Over 10 days, the CMP will bring together leaders, experts, and key stakeholders to explore innovative solutions and policy practices on climate mobility.
Youth at the CMP
The CMP Youth Programme will bring together Climate Mobility Fellows from Africa, the Pacific and the Greater Caribbean. This year’s cohort adds to the nearly 100 youth delegates that have been supported since COP27.
